We run practical skills workshops for schools and community groups that enable people to support their families and communities, or create sustainable businesses.
We teach practical skills, such as how to make liquid soap and bar soap, shampoo, petroleum jelly and reusable sanitary pads.
The trained EAU team deliver interactive workshops primarily for women and girls, as well as other marginalised groups,
The workshops are combined with entrepreneurial training and on-going support that allows rural Ugandans to turn the skills into business opportunities.
Menstrual Hygiene
We run workshops in schools and community groups that teach Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) best practice and break down MHM taboos and inequalities.
We open up conversations that consider the impacts of MHM on young girls, particularly in terms of school participation, and empower young people to identify and drive solutions to improve conditions.
We host practical sessions on reusable sanitary pad making which supports sustainable MHM and local entrepreneurship.
